SonicCouture Guzheng is a traditional Chinese instrument dating back to the Qin Dynasty (c. 200 BC to all of us). He is the ancestor of the Japanese koto, as well as several other zither-like instruments from East Asia. The modern Guzheng typically has 21 drawbridge strings, as well as steel or nylon strings, although ancient instruments used silk strings.
Notes are usually plucked with the right hand by a player wearing tortoise-shell flageolets. Sometimes virtuoso performers use fingers on both hands. Other playing techniques include tremolo, harmonicas, and wide glissandos.
